First time shooting at this museum in DC and it was absolutely perfect! So happy for this couple and can't wait to see their little girl!
Rock Creek Park is another one of my favorite locations to shoot, especially during the fall! This family was so much fun to work with and their daughter was clearly the star of the session. :)
Soo many great shots came from this lifestyle session near the National Mall. And you can't even tell there were hundreds of people everywhere...... one of the biggest challenges of shooting on the mall. :)
I had the pleasure of doing some bridal photos right before this gorgeous bride walked down the aisle! The venue was set up so nicely and this dress was everything. The weather called for rain a few days before but the day turned out perfect. Congratulations to the new bride and groom! :)
Another great session in Georgetown! I had the pleasure of doing a shoot with an up and coming lifestyle/mommy blogger. I'm sure she has some great things coming soon...be sure to look out for The Millennial Matriarch!
Happy 23rd Birthday to my beautiful sister! She calls it her "Jordan" year... how cute :). I admire her in so many ways, as a gorgeous, strong, and independent young woman and very proud of everything that she has accomplished in her 23 years of life. She is a force.... look out!
Happy Birthday to my little sis!!! :)
One thing I learned when it comes to doing photos of a dancer....they don't need any direction! We took soo many amazing pictures and she pretty much owned the session. The weather was perfect which made for some gorgeous shots. Now I need to get back to stretching...these photos have become my motivation!
I had the pleasure of doing a shoot for an up and coming chef in the Washington DC area, The Chosen Chef. It was difficult to focus and not want to eat this plate! You definitely want to check him out for your catering needs.
(and please ask about the banana pudding too!!)
Follow him on instagram @TheChosenChef.
I had the privilege of doing a session with some bright young students in DC. They are part of a youth group focused on maintaining an interest in math while being matched with a company for summer internships. During their orientation each student had their own business cards and spoke about what they are looking forward to once they receive their internship. Awesome group! I wish them much success!
We took to the streets of Washington DC to express our outrage, concern, disappointment, confusion, etc. on the constant police brutality and recent killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. Both men were black and killed by police that seems to be an all too familiar situation in this country. The environment was peaceful and our voices were loud. We marched from the front of The White House to the steps of The Capitol where we were met by members of Congress. Rep. John Lewis even spoke to us.
I feel like we have marched, we have protested, we have shouted, we have demanded...... but we need change and the questions are when and how? - Don't let this become yesterday's news.
Had another great photo session in Washington DC! This time I was asked to take some professional headshots and we couldn't have picked a better day. All of my clients are so photogenic....it makes my job that much easier :).
It was such a beautiful day for a baby shower outdoors! I had the pleasure of shooting this event at Iron Gate Restaurant in NW DC. It was set up so nice and the mom-to-be was absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations!
We picked a perfect day at the Lincoln Memorial for a photo shoot. You can never tell from the pictures that there were literally hundreds of tourists walking throughout the memorial site. My client looked absolutely fabulous in all of her pictures and didn't need any direction!
Happy Birthday :).
Had a great session in Washington DC at the Outdoor Sculpture Gallery. It was quick because clearly she is photogenic and we got a ton of great shots. Definitely love this pop of blue color with the gray wall.
I had the privilege of doing this beautiful maternity shoot for two of my former classmates from Johnson C. Smith University. When I was initially asked to be their photographer, I immediately suggested the Lincoln Memorial (of course) because of the beautiful white marble walls and floors. This was definitely the perfect location for their shoot.
Had a great shoot with one of my favorite models' in Georgetown. This location is becoming my new favorite place to shoot. We were looking for color walls and found more than enough.
Georgetown is now my new favorite shooting location! There are so many great hidden spots that capture conservative and edgy looks. I recently had a lifestyle session where we wanted to go for a "dapper" look and all of the pictures turned out great! The bow tie definitely was the highlight of the shoot but the overall outfit worked perfectly for this session! I love it when I tell my clients to just be themselves... because I get these amazing shots.
A look into some of my photo sessions...
